“GWR” Iron Coat Hook

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Made from cast iron using traditional blacksmithing methods, this coat hook features two parts in the form of a cast plate which has been lettered with ‘GWR’ and a double hook. This coat hook comes complete with three pre-drilled screw holes for easy installation and provides the perfect storage solution for your coats, hats and scarves throughout all seasons of the year.

This product has been designed to age naturally and develop its own patina over time. For authenticity, this product is supplied unlacquered and has, instead, been expertly hand waxed. This wax serves as a basic protective layer against moisture however, if exposed to the outdoor elements for prolonged periods of time, this item will develop a surface rust. If required, the wax layer can be removed using a light oil such as WD40 with a fine-grade wire wool and then re-finished with a metal-based paint.
